I have so many feelings looking back through this wedding. From meeting Amanda and Guillermo this year, to shooting their engagement photos, to being there with them on the day they said “I do.” This job never gets old and I’m always thankful for the people I get to meet in this career.
Amanda and Guillermo had their ceremony and reception on separate days. They got married at Santa Clara County Clerk Recorder’s Office a few short days before their reception. It was honestly such a great way to coordinate everything because it almost felt just as intimate as an elopement – sharing their ceremony with only 7 people on either side made their wedding feel that much more important.
Their reception that weekend took place at the Santa Cruz Seymour Marine Discovery Center as both share a passion for science and the many wonders of the world. The venue sits atop a cliff overlooking the ocean—couldn’t ask for a more gorgeous backdrop!
There were so many surprises in this wedding including a slideshow that Guillermo made for Amanda! He spent two years recording one second for every day that they have been engaged and surprised her with this video during the reception—how freaking sweet is that?! He also got a tattoo of a mathematical symbol on his ring finer for Amanda symbolizing order, because his life makes so much more sense because she is in it. <3
We spent sunset walking around the cliffs immersed by the salty air and cool breeze followed by a killer party that had everyone dancing the night away.
This was definitely one for the books!
