This was one of my favorite styled elopement shoots to date. My friend Nadeen and I planned this shoot together (she’s also an amazing photographer, so check her out!). I was introduced to the couple, Dallis and Nathan, and to Cailyn, who is the owner of Art of Sunshine. Cailyn is a local independent jewelry artist (I’m absolutely in love with all of her pieces) and she provided all of the jewelry for this shoot.
We met up at Loch Lomond Recreational Area in Santa Cruz and started the session by walking about lake. Dallis and Nathan are so much fun to work with and were giggling the entire time! They snuggled by the water’s edge, danced on the pier, and even took a dip in the water at sunset. It was 90°F even during dusk so the water was warm and a good way to beat the heat.
This session was the essence of simplicity and beauty. No fancy dinner spreads, decor, or decked-out alter. We wanted this shoot to have a more organic and natural look. This session was selected to be featured on Bride & Tonic and I was beyond thrilled!!
The feature goes live in October so stay tuned.
